How It Works

Nutrient intravenous therapy refers to the use of vitamins, minerals, and/or botanicals delivered directly into the blood stream. This is a safe and effective way to achieve therapeutic levels of nutrients.

Nutrient IV Therapy

When you take a supplement orally, you only absorb a percentage of the nutrients contained within the capsule. Capsules and tablets are riddled with preservatives and binders that prevent your body from breaking them down completely, thus decreasing the quantity of nutrient available to be absorbed. By delivering the nutrients directly in to your blood stream, and bypassing the digestive tract, you are able to absorb 100% the nutrients.

We have been trained and licensed to perform IV therapy as well as access PICC lines and ports by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (regulators of all NDs in Ontario).

Laser Therapy
reflexology-foot-massage-with-wooden-thai-stick-acupressure-alternative-medicine-oriental.

How It Works

A reflexology session is booked for either 30 minutes or 60 minutes. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural balance and facilitate healing and is one of the safest and least invasive alternative therapeutic practices available.

Reflexology is based on the theory that there are thousands of nerve endings located on the hands and feet energetically linked to reflex points in specific organs and body parts. By massaging or pressing on these points on the feet and hands, one can achieve health benefits in the associated area of the body.

Reflexology

Benefits include reduced stress, stimulated nerve function, deep relaxation, increased energy, toxin elimination and enhanced circulation.

Reflexology and Cancer Patients

When cancer patients face stress, fatigue, or nausea, they may turn to integrative therapies such as reflexology to help ease symptoms. Although each patient responds individually, reflexology can support relaxation and comfort during cancer treatment and offers an alternative to a traditional massage.

Reiki Healing

How It Works

A Reiki session is booked for one hour. The client remains fully clothed throughout and can expect to experience a deep sense of relaxation and peace of mind.

During a Reiki session, the Ki (Chi) universal life force is activated through the practitioner’s hands to the client.  Reiki healing energy removes obstructions to your natural state of health by releasing energetic blockages in the body’s meridians and restoring energy to depleted areas allowing your body to return to balance.

Reiki

While there is no body manipulation, the practitioner follows a sequence of hand positions on the head, torso, hips, knees, and feet.  The hand placements bring rejuvenating energy to all the endocrine glands and organs that control overall function and well-being.

Reiki brings wonderful peace and relaxation. It goes where your need is greatest, supporting awareness, detoxification and balance. Regular, ongoing Reiki sessions are best to support self-healing.

Reiki and Cancer Patients

Working directly with Cancer patients, studies have shown evidence that in addition to promoting relaxation among patients, Reiki can enhance the effectiveness of traditional treatment protocols while reducing anxiety/depression, reducing pain, improving sleep, and improving quality of life.

How It Works

Although diseases themselves cannot actually be seen under a microscope, live blood analysis allows for an observation of irregular patterns in the blood.  These irregularities can allow disease imbalances to occur over time. Through this analysis, modifications can be made to correct these irregularities before disease can develop.

Live Blood Cell Microscopy

The live blood thus acts as an educational “feedback mechanism”, motivating people to improve their diet, perhaps with the addition of nutritional supplements. Positive changes in the structure of the blood cells can be viewed over time, usually a period of months, as improved nutrition impacts the blood.

Live blood work involves magnifying a single living drop of blood, taken from the fingertip and immediately placed onto a slide for analysis.  With the aid of a video camera and monitor, the client will see their test results immediately on the screen as the practitioner is completing the analysis.

Counselling and Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy services are defined as “any form of treatment for psycho social or emotional difficulties, behavioural maladaptations and/or other problems that are assumed to be of an emotional nature, in which a College member establishes a professional relationship with a client for the purposes of promoting positive personal growth and development.” (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on the here-and-now—on the problems that come up in day-to-day life. CBT helps people to examine how they make sense of what is happening around them and how these perceptions affect the way they feel. (The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, CAMH)

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

Dialectical means “the existence of opposites.” In DBT, people are taught two seemingly opposite strategies: acceptance (i.e., that their experiences and behaviours are valid), and change (i.e., that they have to make positive changes to manage emotions and move forward). (CAMH)

What You
Can Expect

Mindfulness is about being aware and present in the moment, with acceptance and without judgement. It is a practice that involves paying attention to your surroundings, and noticing or observing your emotions, thoughts and how your body feels. (CAMH)

Trauma is the lasting emotional response that often results from living through a distressing event. Experiencing a traumatic event can harm a person’s sense of safety, sense of self, and ability to regulate emotions and navigate relationships. Long after the traumatic event occurs, people with trauma can often feel shame, helplessness, powerlessness and intense fear. A trauma informed response understands the symptoms of trauma to be coping strategies that have developed in reaction to a traumatic experience. (CAMH)

Grief is a normal and natural process after a loss. The loss may be a person, pet, job, relationship, ability, etc. Bereavement is grief associated with the loss of a loved one or a person we were/are connected to. Grief Therapy can help support you through this very painful process.

End-of-life (EOL) planning discussions are valuable prior to completing your power of attorney and/or will and/or when living with a life threatening illness. EOL planning often includes discussions about quality of life, core values, purpose, death, illness, changing independence, medical interventions, substitute decision makers, preferred place of death, medically assisted death, etc.

Infrared
The-Original-Silver-Relax-Far-Infrared-Sit-Up-Sauna_1296x_edited.png

How It Works

Relax Sauna uses semiconductor chips that filter out all of the non-far Infrared light. Your body can absorb the far infrared light without having to resist any of the non-healing light rays. Relax Sauna's dual 700w radiators generate the most beneficial far infrared light available. No other sauna has this patented technology. The electric fan in each radiator distributes comfortable heat quickly throughout the sauna interior. The interior of the sauna tent is a mirror for far infrared rays. Its silver embedded nylon material prevents heat loss and reflects far infrared light throughout the sauna chamber like a glass mirror would reflect visible light.

Infrared Sauna Rental

Research show that FAR infrared light may help to reduce blood sugar, reduce blood pressure, improve cardiovascular health, aid in killing chronic infections, and reducing inflammation associated with arthritis.

Neck Therapy

How It Works

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical practice that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body. It is based on the belief that there are channels or pathways called meridians through which the body's vital energy, known as Qi (pronounced "chee"), flows. According to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), when the flow of Qi is disrupted or imbalanced, it can result in illness or pain.

Acupuncture

During an acupuncture session, our skilled acupuncturist or naturopathic doctors gently insert sterilized, single-use needles into specific points on the body, usually known as acupuncture points. The selection of these points depends on your symptoms and the goals of the treatment. The needles are typically left in place for 15 to 30 minutes.

During your session, take a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of life. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and let the acupuncture work its magic. Many people find the experience deeply relaxing and even rejuvenating.

Acupuncture is commonly used for:

  • pain management

  • headaches

  • migraines

  • menstrual cramps or irregularities

  • arthritis

  • digestive concerns

  • insomnia

  • stress

  • neuropathy

  • immune support

  • menopause

  • cosmetically to reduce signs of aging.
