Meet our team
Brenda Tapp ND
NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR & CLINIC DIRECTOR
Hello! I’m Dr. Tapp ND and I’m so glad you’re here.
Leading the charge in integrative cancer care in Peterborough, I am an Ontario licensed ND and active member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP).

Although my focus is supporting my patients through and beyond their cancer journeys, I do know first-hand how overwhelming that journey can be.
While I was in naturopathic medical school, I watched as an aunt on my mother’s side passed from breast cancer, followed shortly by an aunt on my father’s side being diagnosed as well. I have personally been diagnosed with precancerous cells and although I was told to “watch and wait” was able to reverse the process with natural therapies.
Despite how scary a diagnosis of cancer can be, I believe it can also be a beautiful opportunity. It’s an opportunity to make positive changes in food choices, habits, relationships, mindset, and in how we care for ourselves.
I take a collaborative approach to cancer care—working together with your oncologist or family physician to develop a comprehensive plan that will reduce side effects and optimize outcomes.
NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE • IV THERAPY • INJECTIONS (B12 + VITAMIN D)
BHRT (BIOIDENTICAL HORMONES) • ACUPUNCTURE • COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE
LAB TESTING • WILD COLLECTIVE FACILITATOR • NUTRITION • LASER
I grew up in Peterborough, received my Bachelor of Science degree at Trent University and only left temporarily to get my Naturopathic Doctorate at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. I’m thrilled to be back to serve this community I call home.
I look forward to supporting you in navigating through and beyond cancer to proactively redefine your health!

Dr. Shantel Simpson
ND
My interest in maternal and pediatric care grew during my clinical year in school when I was accepted to be part of the competitive pediatrics focus shift.

I had the privilege of working with children of all ages from babies to teens and beyond. Seeing the amazing impact that naturopathic medicine had on the health of children and their families has only inspired me more. My love and passion for helping mothers, children and families with their healthcare needs have only grown since starting a family of my own. My husband and I have two young and very active children to keep us on our toes!
I am so grateful for this exciting opportunity and hope to see you soon so we can work together to optimize the health of you and your family!
