GUIDED BY NATURE AND GROUNDED IN SCIENCE
Naturopathic medicine is an exclusive form of primary healthcare that relies on evidence-based natural therapies.
Licensed naturopathic doctors (NDs) undergo 8 years of postsecondary education, including extensive clinical training and board exams. Our entire team of NDs at Peterborough Centre of Naturopathic Medicine maintain active Ontario licensure.
Our goal is to get you to feel better—with natural therapies validated by clinical research and traditional use.

The Naturopathic Approach
Naturopathic therapies include personalized nutrition, botanicals, homeopathy, supplements, acupuncture, bioidentical hormones, and nutritional IV therapies. We’ll develop an individualized plan to…
Remove obstacles to healing (such as poor diet, lack of sleep, or environmental toxins).
Strengthen weakened systems (such as inflammation, hormonal imbalances, or blood sugar metabolism).
Support the body’s innate ability to heal (by providing the nutrients, water, fresh air, and emotional support it needs).
Naturopathic medicine excels at uncovering the root cause of illness and supporting the body with sustainable natural solutions.
Your initial consultation includes a review of your recent medical records and your health concerns. Your naturopathic doctor will do a physical exam and order any additional tests to better understand your symptoms. Tests might include standard diagnostic testing, salivary hormone testing, urine heavy metal testing, environmental toxin testing, live blood cell analysis, or other advanced tests.
You will receive an individualized plan based on your unique situation and goals. Recommended therapies might include nutrition, movement, supplementation, homeopathy, acupuncture, nutritional IVs, or other therapeutics.
Our team is here to provide compassionate and competent guidance while encouraging you in your health goals. We will collaborate with your other healthcare providers to be sure you achieve the best possible outcomes for your health.
